Project Manager ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 35+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$47k - NZ$108k ( dependent on experience )

Project managers manage delivery of projects from beginning to end, usually improving or adding to the business. They manage the strategic, financial, operational and technological aspects of projects.

Project managers may do some or all of the following:

  • define project deliverables

  • manage the project delivery timeline

  • manage communication with stakeholders and project team members

  • forecast and manage the budget and resources

  • produce and update all project documentation

  • meet project goals on time and to the required standard

  • manage the project team to ensure group and individual performance is met

  • ensure suppliers deliver the products and services requested to agreed specifications

  • hire staff to work on projects.

Film and Media Creator ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 35+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$22k - NZ$66k ( dependent on experience )

Seeking creative technical film-makers, able to work independently and with the project managers in a mobile production team. Must have a portfolio of 2-3 years experience as a videographer, have a professional manner, be motivated and able to organise themselves for a shoot, great communication and people skills, storytelling abilities, cinematography and editing skills, Māori tikanga knowledge is a bonus.

Will be responsible for capturing and achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the captured footage. Also preferably to have knowledge of photography and a keenness for self directed learning for a wide range of job descriptions. Available to work in studio as where required. A strong portfolio will play a big part in our selection.

Animation and Asset Preparation ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 35+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$35k - NZ$199k ( dependent on experience )

Seeking 3+ years work experience as an animator, preferably proficient with Character Animator, After Effects, Illustrator , Photoshop, Premiere Pro and/or Maya. Has an understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques and efficient asset preparation. A strong portfolio will play a big part in our selection.

Graphic Designer ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 35+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$29k - NZ$62k ( dependent on experience )

Seeking a lead communication designer to manage and organise all graphic design aspects of the studio. They must have at least 3+ years work experience as a Graphic Designer, Māori design background is preferred. Proficient with InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Have an understanding of the branding process. Able or willing to learn basic Website Design and Development. A strong portfolio will play a big part in our selection.

Emissary ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 15+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$34k - NZ$54k ( dependent on experience )

Responsibilities include: acting as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence and phone calls. managing diaries and organizing meetings and appointments, often controlling access to the manager/executive. booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation. organizing administration of events and conferences.

Cultural Content Creator ( Fixed Term Contract )

12 months ( 3 months trial) - 35+ hours weekly - up for renewal every 12 months

Salary: NZ$29k - NZ$62k ( dependent on experience )

This position requires a person who has a passion and experience in design or cultural design in Te Ao Māori. They must have a sufficient understanding of Tikanga Māori and be able to independently research and practice cultural design within a kaupapa Māori framework for Māui Studios. They do not have to be an expert, but be willing to dedicate sufficient time to provide Maori knowledge regarding tradition, practice, art and language use in context with applicable design jobs and clients. This role will require you to work hand in hand with our other creative teams in regards to; graphic design, film, web animation and innovations. A strong portfolio will play a big part in our selection.
