Whānau Ora Stories

Whānau who are thriving, self-managing and empowered to achieve their aspirations is the key momentum behind achieving these Whānau Ora Stories. From 2014-2021, Māui Studios has worked alongside the Whānau Ora Commissioning agency, Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu to create an ongoing series of short films that promote the concept of Whānau Ora. Te Pūtahitanga invests in successful and sustainable initiatives and ideas that empower whānau and communities to live fulfilling lives. The intention is for these films to generate positive interest and impact which will help to build a stronger community of followers and participants of the initiatives of Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu. They exist and are created to inspire, generate emotion and to portray and promote the essence of Whānau Ora as expressed uniquely through each of the projects.
